COUNSELLING & COACHING
HAMPTON, MELBOURNE • ONLINE ACROSS AUSTRALIA
Support for when life, relationships, work, or study start to feel like too much.
I work with adults and young people (13+) navigating anxiety, overwhelm, relationship difficulties and periods of change or uncertainty, including challenges around midlife, work, career, school and study.
My approach combines counselling and coaching, so you feel genuinely heard and understood as we explore the patterns that might be keeping you stuck and work together to change them.
I help you build greater self-awareness and confidence, develop practical ways to manage challenges, and feel better equipped to handle whatever comes next
WHO I WORK WITH
Different Challenges. Different stages of life.
Adults & Midlife
Midlife can bring challenges you weren’t necessarily prepared for — changing relationships, living with teenagers and young adults, caring for ageing parents, shifts in work or family roles, and a changing sense of identity or purpose.
For women, menopause can add another significant layer. Changes in mood, anxiety, sleep, confidence, energy and concentration can leave you feeling unlike yourself, just as you may also be questioning who you are now and what you want from the next stage of life.
I can help you make sense of these changes, reconnect with yourself and move forward with greater confidence.
Relationships & Couples
Relationships can become stuck in patterns that are difficult to change on your own. You may keep having the same arguments, feel unheard or misunderstood, or find that the more one of you pushes to resolve things, the more the other withdraws.
Trust, jealousy, resentment, intimacy or changes in family life can add further strain and leave you feeling increasingly disconnected.
I can help you understand the patterns you’ve become caught in, what’s happening underneath them, and find healthier ways to communicate, respond and reconnect.
Adolescents & Young Adults
The teenage and early adult years can bring a lot of pressure and uncertainty. Friendships, fitting in, school or university, family expectations and decisions about study, work and the future can all feel difficult to navigate.
You may be dealing with anxiety or overthinking, struggling with confidence, feeling lonely or left out, avoiding school or study, or worrying that everyone else seems to be coping better than you are.
I can help you understand what you’re feeling, manage anxiety and overthinking, build confidence and find practical ways to handle the challenges you’re facing
Work, Burnout & Career Change
Work can significantly affect how you feel about yourself and the rest of your life. Burnout, workplace conflict, redundancy, leadership pressure or questioning whether your career still fits can affect your confidence, identity and sense of direction.
Sometimes the challenge is getting through what’s happening now; at other times, it’s working out what you want to do next.
Drawing on both my counselling and coaching training and more than 25 years in senior leadership, I can help you work through the emotional impact, regain confidence and consider your next steps.
HOW I WORK
An integrative approach tailored to you.
No single approach works for everyone. I draw on a range of evidence-informed therapeutic approaches, adapting how we work to you, what you’re experiencing and what you need from our sessions.
My counselling practice is grounded in person-centred, strengths-based and attachment-informed principles, drawing on approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) where appropriate.
My coaching background also brings a practical, future-focused perspective to my work, particularly when exploring values, strengths, confidence, decisions, and future direction.
What does this actually mean?
Some of these approaches you may have heard of and others you may not - but you certainly don’t need to know the terminology.
In practice, it means I have a range of ways we can work together, depending on what you need. We might explore patterns and past experiences, work with difficult thoughts and emotions, develop practical strategies, strengthen relationships and communication, or explore your values, strengths, and what you want next.
GROUP PROGRAMMES
Evolve Counselling Collective
Alongside my counselling and coaching practice, I’m one of three co-founders of the EVOLVE Counselling Collective (Melbourne).
Together, we bring experience across counselling, coaching and leadership, with backgrounds spanning corporate, small business and community organisations.
Through the collective, we run small-group EVOLVE programmes for women navigating the changes, challenges and opportunities that can come with midlife and beyond.
The programmes bring together counselling, coaching, mentoring, education and practical strategies, with space for reflection, learning and meaningful conversation with other women.
Our content is evidence-informed, drawing on established counselling, coaching and psychological approaches rather than opinion alone.
As women in midlife ourselves, we also bring lived experience of many of the issues we explore, combining professional expertise with an understanding of what these transitions can feel like in real life.
Topics may include identity, confidence, relationships, menopause, changing family roles, work and career, connection, purpose and the next chapter of life.
The programmes are designed not only for women who are struggling, but also for those who know something is changing and want the time and space to reconnect with what matters, build confidence and shape the next stage of their life.
