My approach is calm, thoughtful, and collaborative.

Sessions offer a supportive space to:

- slow things down

- make sense of what’s happening emotionally

- understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck

- rebuild clarity, confidence, and steadiness

Support is always guided by your needs, goals, and readiness.

My counselling approach is integrative and grounded in person-centred, strengths and solutions-based, with schema and cognitive-behavioural approaches, supporting you to work through emotional challenges, understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build more effective ways of coping. Coaching is integrated when appropriate, drawing on values clarification, strengths identification, and solution-focused strategies to support clarity, confidence, decision-making, and practical next steps, particularly around work, study, or life transitions.

Support tailored to your needs:

Meet Alex

I’m a qualified Counsellor (Post Grad Dip Couns/ACA) and Coach (Level 2/ICF), working in private practice and pro bono charity-based community counselling, supporting adults and teens (16+) navigating overwhelm, transition, and the pressure to hold everything together.

With a background in high-pressure senior leadership roles, I understand the realities of workplace stress, confidence challenges, imposter syndrome, executive performance, career progression, and the complexity of transitioning out of corporate life or into something new. I also understand and work with the personal challenges that sit alongside these shifts, such as changes in identity, loss of confidence, relationship challenges, parenting teenagers into adulthood, and the emotional toll of managing competing demands.

With additional experience in school counselling, working with university students transitioning to working life, and as a parent of teens now transitioning to adulthood, I have also gained a deep understanding of academic pressure, uncertainty about the future, school anxiety, and the unique needs of young people as they find their way into the workplace.
