A little about me…

I came to counselling after more than 25 years in senior leadership roles across Australia and the UK. That experience gave me a first-hand understanding of workplace pressure, career change, leadership, organisational change and what can happen when prolonged stress begins to affect your confidence, relationships and life outside work.

My move from corporate life into coaching, and then counselling, grew from wanting to understand and support more than simply what someone should do next. I became increasingly interested in what sits underneath the stress, self-doubt, overwhelm and patterns that can make change difficult.

Today, I work with adults, adolescents and couples across private practice, EAP, community and education settings. I particularly enjoy supporting people through periods of transition - whether that's midlife, relationships, study, work, career change, or simply reaching a point where life no longer feels quite right.

As a parent of two young adults, I also understand something of the changing roles and challenges that come with supporting young people as they find their way into adulthood - and the adjustment that can bring for parents too.

What I'm like to work with

My style is warm, down-to-earth and collaborative. I won't sit silently and expect you to do all the talking. I'll listen, ask questions, offer observations, and help you make connections you may not have seen before.

Where it's useful, I'll also introduce practical strategies and ideas you can take beyond our sessions. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about or what needs to change. We can work that out together.
